One of the living remnant of the wizard wars, the Lookout Cacaw is still being used in the same way - most likely the only reason why they survived the many cataclysms and conflicts, since the idea of a living, nimble spy in the sky never really ran out of steam. When you still need a telepath, sorcerer or techno-magos to connect to the organic occulus organ embedded in the bird core, the functionality of the arcane creature construct is unmarred, no matter which method of control you'll employ. When most of the Lookout Cacaws are now products of expert breeding and raising, some claim to see them in the wild, living their simple bird lives without being anchored to a controlling owner that forces them to unfamiliar routes and abuses their curious visual organ. Nonetheless, if you possess this rare bird, be grateful and take good care of it - when these might not be extraordinarily rare, they are still precious and useful even as simple sentries.
