MONSTERMONTH No.15 - Insect

The people of the Great Hive are to this day the oldest thriving civilization on Posterra, dating back to the impossibly ancient times of nearly two million years into the past. In their annals you can find mentions of long eroded civilizations, of their struggle with technosavants, wizards and aliens. Of the time long before Dreadwake took over a third of the known world. They grew, they evolved and they survived countless exctinctions. Their people are hardy, adaptable and evolving swiftly. And yet, the conglomerated of species that form the Great Hive is moderately fresh, given their long history, as merely ten thousand years ago they decided to put their petty warsd aside, to erase their heirloom vendettas and to work together to survive what shapes out to be another great eradication - the Dreadwake ongoing expansion into the fragile reality. Now the grand insectoids of the Hive claim grand colonies deep underground around entire Posterra, creating a rich and complex civilization.
