MONSTRMONTH No.22 - Luminous

When the City of Brass nowadays is a thrumming center of modern, clockwork and aether arcane tech, the living machines that consist of its populace not so long ago were still enslaved, under thrall to either their artificers or more likely the descendants of their makers. One of the most ubiquitous construct form was the Lumen Ticktocks, a tiny yet pretty complex humanoid machines made only for one purpose - to bring electric light with them. Some would easily say that to create such advanced automata for such trivial purpose was a gross overdesign, a style over function, and yet these little helpers were popular far and wide as mobile and semi-intelligent source of light. When their masters and creators perished in a bygone age, they remained loyal servants to their new overlords, passed over like precious heirlooms and tools. Now some are still without spark, still merely utility to various wizards, scientists and even richer commonfolk.
