#17 - Keybeast

From the dreadful age of Mage Wars and the following Wars of the Towers still many dangers remain to litter the ruined realms. From titanic god-beasts that now prowl the land without guidance, corrupted of their arcane programming, to the mires and bogs filled with residual magic that twists all life in phantasmal and cruel ways. Most common though are creatures made by their twisted wizard lords to fulfil a specific task of function – from living candleholder to humanoid instruments. From golems made of stone and wind to kink-fulfilling maids of porcelain and goo. And then, of course, the most popular breed of monsters – the dungeon crawlers. Every self-respected and properly lunatic mage had a dungeon, of course, where they could stash their secrets, labs and misshapen experiments. And where are dungeons chockfull of secrets and treasures, there will be daring adventurers. And for them, of course, with a proper sense of the drama, the wizards made various monsters to prowl, guard and trick the explorers. Cube of gelatinous acid, riddle-spewing sphinxes, mimics, shadow bending tricksters and of course, the keyholders – gnarly beasts of bloodlust that possessed on them or in them keys to unlock deeper circles of the labyrinthian dungeons.
