Ghroth, the Harbinger

Somewhere in the vast cosmos, a song carries through the void, caring naught for the physical impossibility of it. It is not a song of voice and vibration of the air, it is the song of ancient mind and eldritch powers. And the song continues, reaching far and wide as the singer - Ghroth - travels the vastness of time and space at a leisurely pace, seemingly without goal or purpose. Alas, though, all inhabited worlds that see the baleful red eye on their night sky should learn dread and fear in a completely new fashion. For his alien music, his Song of the Spheres stir the slumbering Great Old Ones from their stupor, their binding, their sleep. And so, if any lingers from the aeons before on your globe, the mere passing of the Harbinger spells out a likely downfall of your civilization, for few if anyone could ever stand up to and fight the monstrous might of the Great Old Ones.
