Cyborgs are a rare breed across all of Posterra realms, and surely one of the saddest folks to still persist against all odds. They are unfortunate remnants really, slowly but surely dying out as they mostly cannot reproduce, do not form an unified community and are loathed by both organics and the awakened machines. For biologicals, they are just creepy remnants of some long-forgotten civilization sins. For machines, they are unholy, blasphemous union of purity of circuits and cogs with filthy, corrupted flesh. And yet, despite the common hatred, they often find odd jobs – mostly because most cyborgs were built with a specific function in mind and thanks to that, they often excel at that function. And of course there are some communities free of such prejudices (or just better at handling them). Like for example the cosmopolitan Wharf Town, always eager to expand and prosper, looking for citizens with strong conviction and dedication to their civilized progress, no matter their shape, form or faith. And so Cyborgs – while still a rare sight – do find an easier living across the shanties of the town, filling in some niche jobs. Deep sewer divers, trash collectors, exterminators and even the Public Announcement system for the Mayor Whale in form of Zyx, the Sound Cyborg, somewhat build to be able to cast clear, sharp sound far and wide with his speaker arrays built into his frame.
