025 – Polypuculos

There is an old saying – there is a strength in numbers. And many organisms consider it to be a basic drive behind any society. They form tribes and create their cities just to form a tight group that can pool knowledge and skills to better serve the community. It’s an obvious thing, but some take it a bit too far and too literally forming colony organism. In form of Sentient Polyps, they decided to use their arcane potency and multiply it by merging together, body and essence, into a conglomerate being. While a single polyp has some arcane energies in their body, it’s not that much to begin with and their magical capabilities are fairy limited. However, as they merge and share their intrinsic power, they truly become greater than the sum of their parts, turning into a surprisingly capable wielder of the arcane. Despite that, they still act in a peculiar, inward way, worrying only about filling their basics needs. Sustenance. Shelter. Survival. And that, sadly, made them prey in the age of declining magic as many practitioners looking for sources of the thaumaturgic energy hire hunters and mercenaries to find the Polypuculoses and deliver them for extraction.
