Samyaza, The Angel

There are many places for me to gather inspiration for creatures. Magic: The Gathering, all stories by Lovecraft, Dr. Who, Sir Terry Pratchett books and other various movies and series. But one series in particular took my heart like a raging storm thanks to the design of the 'monster of the week'. Sure, Neon Genesis Evangelion is fine, and I do enjoy the whole series and movies, but the fanbase is a little bit dangerous to thread on - yes, NGE is a very good action-mecha and it's a tad "deeper" than your usual rock'em sock'em, but gosh, chill guys - it's not a Philosophy 101, it's pretty basic stuff! STILL, the power of the show for me was exactly the Monster of the Week - The Angels (Apostles), the 'variants of humanity made of Adam, the seed of power'.
