Sense of Wonder

Hey hey hello! Doing something completely different. To get out from a creative rut I decided to paint a little something with gouaches - which was quite a challenge to start with, because it is literally third gouache painting I did in my life. It was a good moment for two reasons. First, I am working hard on an illustrated book for kids and I am in dire need to spruce up my cute and fuzzy type of art. Second, because I was watching latety a ton of tutorials, courses and lessons and wanted to put this newfound knowledge into practice. Ultimately, I am extremely happy with it, but there are plenty of things to improve, even starting with the materials used. Firstly, proper paper for painting and tape to keep it straight. And then, more precision and control in blending, more patience as well to let the layers set in more properly...
